Jane Randel

Jane Randel is a Co-Founder of CommsCollectiv, a company that provides businesses with access to best-in-class communications expertise on an interim or fractional basis, and a Social Impact advisor and Co-Founder of Karp Randel, a consultancy designed to help corporations, foundations and individuals achieve their business and personal goals while making a positive impact on society. Jane also co-founded NO MORE, an international initiative dedicated to ending domestic violence and sexual assault by increasing awareness, inspiring action and fueling culture change. In February 2020, Jane gave a TEDx talk about engaging youth to end violence.
Jane is currently serving as a consultant to the NFL and NASCAR to help address issues of domestic violence and sexual assault within their organizations as well as in service to the public-at-large.
Previously, Jane was Head of Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at Kate Spade & Company (formerly Liz Claiborne Inc.), responsible for managing the company’s corporate reputation through both external and internal communications. She led corporate, business and crisis media relations, and oversaw internal communications. Jane spearheaded Love Is Not Abuse, an award-winning, cause-marketing program aimed to generate awareness, educate the public and prevent violence against women, until the program transitioned to non-profit organization in 2012. For more than a decade, Jane served on the Board of Directors of the Fifth & Pacific Foundation (formerly the Liz Claiborne Foundation), most recently as Chair.
Jane is a co-founder of The CONVERSATION, a community of more than 500 hundred senior communications executives who gather regularly to hear from top experts and each other as they discuss tough, meaningful topics such as racial justice, global health, the social media, education, bipartisanship and beyond. Started in the heat of the pandemic, The CONVERSATION initially enabled people to focus on something beyond the unrelenting crises of their daily work. Today it has evolved into a monthly time to think differently, to hear competing perspectives, and to feel more connected to our world and each other. Jane has also served as Chairman of The Seminar, the premier organization of the highest-ranking communications and public affairs executives at the world’s most influential corporations, nonprofit organizations, academic institutions and public relations agencies. She is currently on the advisory board for the Chazen Fund to Address Domestic Violence and Vice President of Development for the Board Trustees of Temple Sharey-Tefilo Israel.
In 2022, Jane received the Legacy Mentor award from the Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations. In 2005, she was named one of 21 Leaders for the 21st Century by WomensEnews; in 2006, she was profiled in Crain’s New York Business “40 under 40”; in 2009, Jane was honored by the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York for her work on teen dating abuse; and in 2012 she received the Hero with a Heart Award from the Joyful Heart Foundation. Jane also co-authored an award-winning paper, “Coming into the Light: Intimate Partner Violence and Its Effects at Work.”
Jane is a graduate of Wesleyan University and lives in New Jersey with her husband and three sons.
